Irony and Ambiguity

At first, I thought irony was the situation of the story, but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, irony is the difference between what the reader expects or what seems suitable and the reality of what happens. There are three types of irony: verbal irony, situational irony, and dramatic irony.
I also learned about ambiguity. I used to think ambiguity was the reaction to the situation, but I learned that ambiguity is a part of a text that may have multiple meanings.
On my irony and ambiguity pretest, I was far below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at grade-level.

Thanksgiving Project

For my thanksgiving project I interviewed ten people. It seemed that most had the same idea of thanksgiving in mind. Many saw thanksgiving as a time to show appreciation and how thankful you are for evreything you have and spend time with your family. They also said it was a time of the year you get to eat alot. Most people were thankful for everything they had. Thanksgiving is more than just eating its about showing appreciation for everything you have. I really enjoyed this project alot, I really got alot out of this. It was a great experience.happy Thanksgiving.

At first, I thought theme was the meaning of the story, but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, theme is a central idea or insight about life and human nature that gives a story meaning. Some themes are universal, which means that they are commonly found in literature of all cultures and ages.
Themes are can be found in all genres of literature; the five main genres of literature are non-fiction, fiction, poetry, drama and myth.Since I now understand theme, I can find the theme of my favorite movie. My favorite movie is “Kung Fu Panda”. The theme of this movie is that no matter what you can get true anything if you just believe in yourself. On my theme pretest, I was at grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at grade-level.
