Poetry

At first, I thought rhyme was words that sound alike, but I learned that rhyme is a repetition of the sound of the stressed vowel and any sound that fallows in words that are close together.

An example of a poem with end rhyme is below. The title is love poem, and the author is Gary R. Hess. The rhyme scheme is A, BB, A, CC.

On my poetry pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at or above grade-level.
